Today, a major myth still surrounds the CORE TOOLS, many companies do not know them or still think they are tools exclusively for the automotive industry. They could not be more mistaken.

The CORE TOOLSwhile they are tools that have been created as a result of the needs within the car industry, they can currently be used to properly control, improve and define processes in all forms of companies and institutions, both goods and services.

Here are some examples to show you how they would work:

Imagine implementing, for instance, an FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis; AMEF), in a hospital, would at least prevent shortages of supplies or medication, or perhaps even losing a patient through an incorrect medical procedure.

Implement MSA (Measurement system analysis) at fuel stations, every one would assure us they sell FULL LITERS! How about that? They would also ensure fuel quality always meets high standards, without selling us something inferior to what was promised.

Implement SPC (Statistical Process Control), in government offices serving the public, control limits could be established for service times, citizens' complaints and the speed of procedures. This would eliminate all the bureaucracy we have in the country!

Implement APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), in... Liga MX football teams! Imagine the 18 Mexican teams having the quality to generate millions in revenue, field excellent players without investing so much money, sell souvenirs on a large scale and, above all, be sufficiently sustainable. They could generate substantial sponsorship revenue thanks to the quality of their play—a high-quality product that attracts millions of investors and that you pay to watch every weekend—all while making optimal use of resources.

Implement PPAP (production parts approval process), in… selecting candidates for public office! Yes, you read that correctly; I am not crazy. We could even work on this through a citizens' body, seeking to ensure the integrity, honesty and competence of the different candidates. To secure a candidacy, they would have to undergo a process ensuring they meet all the requirements their customers—that is, we citizens—demand of them. We would approve those candidacies: not their political parties, but their real customers, us. How about that? You were not expecting that one.

Yes, we could implement Core Tools in all these examples. Had you imagined it? No? It is all possible. We simply need to think a little outside the box, understand the tools and identify the benefits they can deliver.

Dare to do different things, Core Tools are powerful tools!
