Supervisors are a cornerstone of our company's progress, growth and proper development, whether they lead production lines, sales or administrative teams. They help employees perform their roles better and clearly achieve objectives. There is therefore a pressing need for supervisor training that must be met immediately.

However, despite knowing how vital well-trained supervisors are, the reality is that this is one of the positions lacking preparation and training. All “because we cannot stop”—industry's biggest excuse. The poor supervisors have so much work that their training is the last thing anyone considers.

This is a sad reality: although supervision is one of the most important positions for keeping things running correctly, we exploit supervisors' time so much that their competencies and skills leave much to be desired.

Do you want to know if your supervisors are well trained?, think about this and answer with sincerity:

  1. Do your supervisors know how to manage the resistance to change in their work teams?
  2. Do you know the 7 stages a person goes through when facing significant changes?
  3. Do you know what the main characteristics of a good supervisor are?
  4. Do you know what the 5 C's are from teamwork?
  5. Do they know how to break paradigms?
  6. Do you know strategies to empower your employees, or are you still a taskmaster?
  7. Do they develop key tools for how their work teams are motivated?
  8. Are they really leaders?
  9. Do You Know How to Measure Employee Performance?
  10. At least... do you know how to manage conflicts on your team?

How did it go? Well, or do your supervisors lack more than 4 of these characteristics? If so, you have a serious problem: this role is essential, vital and central to your organization. But let me tell you that the pace of work has kept you from properly training your most important leaders.

It is time to get to work. Your employees, company and customers will appreciate better-prepared supervisors. Above all, training will be your great differentiator against your toughest competitor.

Rock´n roll, people!
