Team Building Virtual 2020
Team building is an integration activity developed for each company's specific needs. Many people think it consists of games to have fun and enjoy ourselves. That is true, but it involves more than simply playing.
At Jesús Sánchez Training & Consulting, we understand that your investment needs to go further. That is why we develop customized virtual team building around an overall learning objective, which guides our choice of activities for your company. Although each activity is fun and brings people together, it has a clear teaching and learning focus. This is not just about having a good time or taking a “day off”; it is a working day outside your usual routine. Our virtual option maintains that approach while allowing all participants to enjoy themselves in a safe environment.
We share a sample proposal: The Theft of the Ham Sandwich
Reason:
Every company has a different story. In every employee, we find a life story worth telling. However, each of these stories loses meaning when we talk about a considerable number of employees.
An experiential workshop focused on teamwork may not enable all these employees to share and learn about one another's different stories, but it will at least help us develop empathy and take the first step toward a teamwork culture.
The project aims at performing and generating "experiences" with a clear reason for corporate and interdepartmental integration.
“The theft of the ham sandwich”
Creative Rationale:
Teamwork, communication, motivation and a lack of culture for customer care are sometimes difficult to put into place.
Work methods such as training can provide us with this type of topic, but with a large number of people, training can be a slow, expensive and long exercise.
This teamwork methodology is developed to improve, increase, and refine:
-
- Teamwork.
- Interpersonal / intergroup communication.
- Integration.
- Corporate culture.
Driven by the initial premise that people should embrace the company, identify with its values and share its organizational culture.
Objectives:
- – Create synergy among employees.
- – To improve teamwork.
- – To understand the benefits of teamwork.
- – It improves employment integration.
- – Create empathy among employees.
Intended for:
- – General personnel.
- –
At the end of the course:
- – The participant will be part of a community.
- – The participant will be aware of the benefits and respect for teamwork.
- – The participant will improve his or her attitude to the team.
- – Participants will have greater empathy with the company and its employees.
Mechanics:
The Team building is designed around a central ZOOM activity involving participants virtually to build interaction and mutual understanding through role play.
1. Detectives (optional)
Objective: Build team cohesion and get everyone ready.
Duration: Sending a week earlier. (Additional cost)
Development: Players will get a detective kit in preparation for the event.
Cost: $700 - $1,000 with dispatch.
2. The ham sandwich theft.
Objective: The development of teamwork with improved communication, integration and recreation.
Duration: 60 - 90 minutes
Development:
Participants will receive a mysterious link a couple of days beforehand, inviting them to the meeting dressed as detectives.
On the day of the event, the facilitator (a detective) will set the scene and tone of the session through its underlying story: the theft of a ham sandwich from the refrigerators in the company cafeteria.
- The group will be divided into cells (3 – 5 people). These will work separately in individual “virtual rooms.”
- Each team will appoint a captain or representative who will stay in constant communication with the facilitator.
- The detective dramatically tells the story of the stolen ham sandwich, encouraging participants to work together to find the culprit.
- The winning team will get a special prize (previously agreed with RH).
- The activity consists of online and offline challenges. Depending on members' level of integration and interaction, they will find the answers more quickly or take longer.
- The challenge begins with a clue left at the scene of the sandwich theft: So based on it, work teams have to find their cell number.
- Upon obtaining it, they will receive a challenge to complete together, at the end of which they must send a photo to the WA.
- This will give them a clue leading to a song, which they must
- Analyze to find a date.
- Once they have the date, they will receive a link to a 10-question general knowledge quiz.
- After answering all 10 questions correctly, they will receive a new group challenge to submit via WA.
- They will receive a Facebook link where they must click Like to access a photograph containing the next clue.
- It leads to a web page where participants receive a code they must learn to interpret to obtain the next challenge.
- When they get it, they have to put together a Tangram type puzzle.
- By sending a photo of the exercise, participants will be able to access a new link with questions to raise awareness about teamwork
- When they answer them, they get the answer from the case.
- The first cell to deliver the result will be the winner.
