Course: Kanban
Leaders in professional training:
Kanban Course: Materials Management and Production
The Kanban Course – Pull System is designed to provide participants with the knowledge needed to understand and apply Kanban as a tool to improve workflow and control production processes. Participants will learn to manage activities according to demand and the process's actual needs.
During training, they will be aware of the principles of Pull System, visual management and Kanban use to control material and activity flow. Participants will also identify opportunities to reduce inventories, prevent overproduction and improve coordination among process stages.
The aim is for participants to be able to applying Kanban to improve workflow, reduce waste, manage inventories and optimize processes, contributing to a more efficient operation aligned with Lean principles.
Our in-person and live virtual courses are designed for groups of at least 15 people. If you require this training for a small group (1 to 4 people) or individually, click the following button to get to know the available options:
Course objectives
Understanding Kanban System Fundamentals
First, participants will understand the concept of Kanban and its origins as a pull production system. They will also learn the fundamental principles governing materials and production management through Kanban, along with its characteristics, advantages and benefits in production processes. They will understand how it helps reduce inventories, prevent overproduction and improve material flow.
Kanban's implementation of Materials and Production Management
Participants will also learn how the Kanban system moves materials within a plant and establishes a common system between production processes. They will understand the importance of visual control, synchronized operations and production aligned with actual demand. They will consequently be able to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and communication between departments.
Knowledge of Kanban System Rules and Tools
On the other hand, they will know the basic rules of Kanban and the tools necessary for its proper implementation. Through this training, they will identify the key elements that allow them to maintain system stability and avoid disruptions in production flow. Especially, they will understand how to apply these rules to achieve a more orderly and controlled operation.
Kanban's calculation and effective implementation
Finally, participants will learn to calculate Kanban size and implement the system correctly within the organization. They will also develop practical criteria for launching and monitoring it. As a result, they will be able to contribute to more efficient materials management, continuous improvement in production processes and optimized operational performance.
Results of the Course
Materials Flow and production analysis
By the end of this course, participants will clearly analyze material flow within production processes, identifying how production moves and where unnecessary inventory or bottlenecks arise. They will gain a more precise perspective for making decisions that improve flow and align production with actual demand.
Mastery of Kanban System Tools
The participant will also master the tools and key elements of the system Kanban, understanding its operation as a pull system for materials management. Participants can apply clear rules, visual control and structured methods facilitating organization, order and synchronization among production processes.
Kanban's Practical Application at Plant
Participants understand how to implement Kanban in daily operations, from correct card use to establishing a common system for moving materials within the plant. They develop the ability to identify improvement opportunities, reduce waste and prevent overproduction through proper application.
Improving Operating Efficiency and Stability
Finally, participants see tangible gains in production efficiency through better inventory management, greater flow control and faster response times, contributing to more stable, organized operations focused on continuous improvement.
Who is it intended for?
Staff senior management That aims to improve material management and make strategic decisions based on production flow and actual demand.
Department Heads, Coordinators and production, logistics and operations management who manage production processes and need greater visual control and operational efficiency.
Staff operational and technical involved in materials management, inventories and production, that aims to reduce waste and improve organisation at plant.
Professional interested in implementing Kanban system To optimize processes, reduce inventories and strengthen continuous improvement within the organisation.
